Due to the overwhelming demand for custom masks, we are fully booked for several months! For this reason, we have decided to temporarily pause custom mask requests. We will likely make this service available again in January 2025 with project completion dates starting no sooner than May 2025. When we make this service available again, here's what you need to know...

At Kit Masx, we specialize in making masks for airplane scale models, but we make masks for any modeling interest, from planes to cars, ships, trains, armor, science-fiction, and even Gundam! Whatever your project, we can help!

If you are looking for masks for main markings (to replace decals) or have a custom design idea for your project, you're in the right place! Your next step is to fill out our Custom Mask Request Form (link temporarily disabled).

Custom Mask Pricing

Requests for decal sheets and common markings that we feel would appeal to other modelers typically cost between $16-$30 CAD per set plus shipping. The cost for a custom mask set varies based on complexity, demand, and the amount and type of material required (vinyl or Tamiya tape).

Once your mask set is created, we upload it to our website and send you a direct link to purchase.

Custom Masks for Your Special Project

Custom masks for personal projects or designs not likely to be purchased by other modelers typically start at $25 CAD/set in vinyl and $35 CAD/set in Tamiya tape. You can request duplicates of your custom set for $10 CAD in vinyl or $15 CAD in Tamiya tape.

Once we receive your request for a custom mask set, we provide a quote for your approval before starting your project. When your project is complete, we'll send you an invoice and, upon receiving your payment, ship your custom masks!

Your First Step

Please make sure you have high resolution images of your project. If you have access to a decal sheet, we will need it scanned at a minimum of 1200x1200dpi and saved as a pdf.

Which is right for you: custom masks or Made-to-Order masks?

⚠️ Our Custom Mask Request service is NOT for you if you are looking for kit-specific masks for a scale model kit in your collection. Custom masks do not require test-fitting on a specific scale model.
