We're really glad you were able to make it work and get such a great result!

It also looks like you received one of our experimental laser-cut sets! The laser leaves that visible outline, making the individual masks much easier to see, so we're glad you liked that feature. 👊 For our regular plotter-cut sets, a little tip is to gently peel back the surrounding Tamiya tape from the backing to reveal the individual masks—just go slowly and carefully around the smaller pieces.

And your point about identifying the inner versus outer masks is a good one. We'll take that feedback on board and see if we can come up with a simple way to label them more clearly in future sets. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Thanks for your honest feedback, Michael. We understand it can be a little tricky at first, especially with Tamiya tape, where the cut lines can be difficult to see until you know what to look for.

A few tips that many customers find helpful:
• Tilt the sheet under a bright light—the cut lines catch the light and become much easier to see.
• Looking at the sheet from an angle, rather than straight down, also helps reveal the cuts.
• A magnifying lamp or head-mounted magnifier can make a big difference for smaller masks.
• If you're still having trouble, you can gently lift one corner of the tape and slowly peel it back from the backing paper. This can help reveal where the individual pieces have been cut. Just take your time, as some of the smaller masks are delicate and can tear if removed too quickly.
