Bv141 Mask Review

More the multiple-paned canopy, these masks were a god-send. They worked very well but on a couple of the more curved panes, they didn't stick well enough...kept curling a bit, which was solved with a bit of Tamiya tape.

Thanks for your honest review, Raymond! We really appreciate your feedback. ❤️ For the curling mask issue, we generally recommend using masking fluid to help with curvy surfaces. If that doesn't work, washing your clear parts with soapy water before application or using a good primer like floor polish works too. That said, we'd love to know which masks were curling so we can tweak them if possible. We'll reach out by email.

I gifted this set to a model buddy who had never used one before, and he was sold immediately. He said it gave him the freedom to fill and sand away some framing on the old kit where the fit was bad, and restore a good clean frame with paint later. Yep, this is a little-sung but important advantage to a good mask set: allowing better canopy-to-fuselage joint cleanup. He builds slowly but the Tamiya tape should be fine for months (or, knowing him, years!). Highly recommended
