Application Tips and Additional Information
➡️ Masking fluid is required in conjunction with the masks for compound curves. All areas requiring masking fluid are highlighted in blue in the product image.
🌟 Choose Your Material 🌟
This paint mask set is available in your choice of easy-to-apply Oramask 810 flexible vinyl or a hybrid of genuine Tamiya tape and vinyl.
Why Hybrid? A hybrid set is necessary due to the delicacy and size of some components that do not cut optimally in Tamiya tape. Please refer to the product image for clarity on what components are provided in Tamiya tape and vinyl in this hybrid set. (The area highlighted in grey is provided in Oramask 810 Flexible vinyl. All other masks are supplied in Genuine Tamiya tape.)
What's better - vinyl or Tamiya tape? Both work great! Choose vinyl if you plan to use your masks right away and Tamiya tape if you're tackling your project later on. Check out our FAQ for more info!

Had the old Monogram B-36 kit for almost 30 years, it was given to me by a friend who worked at the actual Monogram factory in Morton Grove, IL. Finally decided to put it together a few years ago when I retired. I got fairly far along until I got to the canopies, once I realized I'd have to mask those myself I moved on to other projects. When I discovered and ordered the Kitmask it was a game changer. I've used other masking brands and found this vinyl mask a breeze to use. I've included a picture of the masked B-36 canopies next to another project that used a different material. I can tell you the Kitmask vinyl was amazing. I masked both canopy sections in around an hour and a half. Can't wait to finally finish my project after all these years, thank you.

Today, I want to share my experience working on a 1/72 scale model of a truly iconic aircraft—the B-36 Peacemaker. This legendary strategic bomber is massive, and the model kit (originally by Monogram, copyrighted in 1980, later reboxed as kit 04632) is equally impressive in size.
Thankfully, Kit Masx has released an outstanding masking set (72-013V) specifically designed for this beast of a plane. The set, made from high-quality Oramask 810 flexible vinyl, is meticulously engineered and comes with three sheets packed with an incredible number of pre-cut parts. Each piece is perfectly designed, clearly labeled, and adheres wonderfully to the model’s surfaces.
The set makes it easy to paint intricate details, including:
> The complex nose and cockpit frames.
> All 10 main landing wheels.
> Circular masks for the rounded windows along the fuselage.
Additionally, the set includes extra small triangular masks as spares, which come in handy if needed. Applying the vinyl masks was straightforward, and the results were fantastic. Thanks to this set, I was able to save time and effort on these tedious parts, allowing me to focus on the next steps of the build with ease.
For its reasonable price and the convenience it offers, I highly recommend Kit Masx’s 72-013V set for anyone building the B-36 Peacemaker. It’s a game-changer for scale modelers tackling such a detailed kit.

The Revell 1/72 B-36 H is one BIG plastic airplane model. The canopies are a tiger to rib paint and really would NOT tackle them without a mask system and "Kit Mask" out of Canada fills that need very well...mask PRIOR to attatching to body of aircraft as there are some very tiny window mask that require a steady hand and good eyes! WEll done KIT MASK !R B

I haven't use the mask' set above mentioned yet, because still busy with another model Planet. However I can recommend It by the good material quality, the numerous parts cut with accurate precision and least but not last the interesting price.
