Product Details: Everything You Need to Know

This set includes paint masks for the inner and outer canopies and wheels of the 1/48 McDonnell Douglas F-101 or F-101B Voodoo by Monogram, Hasegawa, and Revell.

❗ Note: This set includes a complete series of masks designed to replicate the sealant commonly applied around windscreens and canopies on jets of the 1950s and 1960s.

If you choose to include the sealant detail in your build, an additional masking step is required:

• Step 1: Apply inner and outer masks #81 / #82. Spray your chosen sealant color and allow it to dry completely.
• Step 2: Apply inner and outer masks #81S / #82S directly over the painted sealant area. Proceed with painting the rest of the model as usual.
• Step 3: Remove all masks at the end of the build.

Application Tips and Additional Information

➡️ Masking fluid is required in conjunction with the masks for compound curves. All areas requiring masking fluid are highlighted in blue in the product image.

This paint mask set is available in your choice of easy-to-apply Oramask 810 flexible vinyl or genuine Tamiya tape.

What's better - vinyl or Tamiya tape? Both work great! Choose vinyl if you plan to use your masks right away and Tamiya tape if you're tackling your project later on. Check out our FAQ for more info!
